FAQs

How long will it take to ship my order?

We will pick and pack your order on the day we receive it, depending on the time received. During busy periods this can spill over into the following day. Typically if your order is received before 2pm we will despatch on the same day. We aim to ship all orders as soon as we can where possible and you will receive notification.

How long will delivery take?

We send everything in the UK by Royal Mail first class signed for service which can take up to 3 days, however it is mostly next day delivery except for weekends and bank holidays.

Details for shipping to other countries can be found on the product page.

Why have you put your prices up?

Well we kind of haven’t...

During the early success of Feva Star Seat up until January 2021, the RRP was £74.99 plus £9.99 postage and packing. Since then the RRP is £84.99 and shipping is free to the UK, so give or take a penny, it ultimately costs the same as before. We have just simplified the customer journey by including delivery, so there is just one price and no hidden extras.

Will the Feva Star Seat fit my bike?

The Feva Star Seat will fit almost any bike. Whether it is a Mountain Bike, Commuter Bike, Hybrid Bike or Road/CX Bike, even E-bikes which can have chunky frames are mostly compatible with our awesome kids bike seat.

However, there are some designs, particularly those with a steep crossbar/top tube angle that are just not suitable for the Feva Seat.

If you would like to know for sure, please drop us an email with a photo of your bike, 2-3 different angles if possible to hello@fevastarseat.com.
We will be happy to take a look and advise, be assured you will receive honest and safe advice from experienced cyclists, and if our seat isn't the one we are happy to make suggestions on alternative products based on our own knowledge.

Will my child's head make contact with my chest?

The Feva Star Seat is positioned right up at the headstem of the bike, keeping your child forward and mostly with good clearance of your body. However, bikes, children and adults are all unique, so depending on your riding setup and position it is possible, however unlikely that the child's head will come into contact with your body.

How much does the Feva Star Seat weigh?

The lightweight design, high density EVA foam construction and lack of metal clips or brackets means the Feva Star Seat weighs less than 700g.

Why is the Feva Star Seat the only forward mounted seat with a lap restraint?

The British Safety Standard is a set of guidelines and best practice, and is not required by law. At the time of writing the Feva Star Seat is the only forward mounted child bike seat that features a lap restraint, whilst it is a personal preference, we encourage its use.

Not only does it help to keep your child in position, but it also offers them more confidence, allowing them to develop their stability and balance.

I have a carbon bike frame, will the Feva Star Seat damage it?

The Feva Star Seat does not require any clamps, brackets or bolts and no tools are required for assembly or installation. The straps are tightened by hand and little pressure is placed on the frame. If you are unsure about anything please contact us hello@fevastarseat.com.

Will the Feva Star Seat damage my paintwork?

The Feva Star Seat is made from a soft but high density foam, and fixes using soft straps. Incredibly strong and sturdy, but offers little contribution to any regular wear and tear on your bike.

Where can I buy a Feva Star Seat?

Please always enquire first with your local bike shop, independent trade needs our support. If they don't have them in stock, please ask them to get one in for you, spread the word, we can ship to them next day.

If you don’t have a bike shop near you then you can still order direct with us, or from Amazon or eBay.

Will the Feva Star Seat affect my pedalling/leg position?

The forward position and narrow design means there should be little or no interference with your pedal stroke. When a child is on the seat, we feel there can be a natural tendency to spread your legs when pedalling so as not to collide with the child or the seat.

However if you make the effort to ride straight legged with a normal pedal stroke, you are likely to find you can ride unhindered. Obviously we cannot guarantee this will be the case with everyone due to the huge number of variables, but when compared with other forward mounted seats available, we believe the Feva Star Seat offers the least impact upon your pedal stroke.

How do I clean the Feva Star Seat?

Warm soapy water and a damp cloth, do not use any abrasives or chemicals.
Rinse off any suds after cleaning and allow to dry.

Remove and clean the seat after each ride, especially during winter months when mud and sand/grit can build up around contact points.

I am an Independent Bicycle Dealer, how can I stock the Feva Star Seat?
